Higher Education Department, Govt. of the Punjab has organised a Consultative Session of Punjab Boards Committee of Chairmen (PBCC) on qualitative issues of Education Boards with Special Focus on “Reforms in Assessment System” hosted by Board of Intermediate and Secondary Education Rawalpindi.
The session was attended by Mr. Muzammil Mehmood, Chairperson CM task force on Examination Reforms, Dr. Farrukh Naveed, Secretary HED, Mr. Munib ur Rehman, Special Secretary HED, Commissioners, Additional Secretaries/Project Director HED, Chairpersons Bahawalpur, D.G Khan, Gujranwala, Sahiwal, Chairperson BISE Rawalpindi, and notable educationists wherein.
The Secretary, HED highlighted that transparency is the emblem of Higher Education dept. The department has restructured its working policies to ensure transparency and meritocracy in every single aspect. He requested the Chairpersons BISEs to ensure the implementation of reforms against examination malpractices in true letter and spirit.
The Convener, Mr. Muzammil Mehmood, Chairperson CM task force on Examination Reforms, shared the vision and Concern of Chief Minister regarding reframing the Assessment systems and overall education system of the Province.
The Rep. of IBCC, FBISE, Aga Khan and Cambridge International Examination, presented the outlook of their best assessment practices and extended their expertise in reformation of assessment system under Punjab Boards of Intermediate and Secondary Education.
